PURPOSE: A support for a reinforcing bar is provided to prevent the support from falling down from a reinforcing bar by preventing the support from becoming rotated in a horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION: A support for a reinforcing bar comprises a column(1) and a reinforcing bar gripping portion(2). The reinforcing bar gripping portion is installed on the top of the column and is composed of a holding portion and a compression portion. The holding portion comprises a lower reinforcing bar holding portion(21). The lower reinforcing bar holding portion holds a lower reinforcing bar among reinforcing bars. The compression portion is installed on the holding portion and prevents the support from becoming separated from the held reinforcing bar.
