PURPOSE: A streaming content supplying apparatus and a method thereof are provided to reproduce media by using segments which are divided by each period. CONSTITUTION: An access engine(510) receives meta data of media. The meta data of the media includes one or more periods. The access engine receives segments of the media based on metadata information. The access engine decodes data of the media. The data of the media is included in the segments. A media engine(520) outputs the media received from the access engine.
