<p>PURPOSE: A device for processing an application package in a portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to prevent illegal use by decoding an execution file for the generation of the application package and permit an authorized user to use the execution file. CONSTITUTION: An application managing unit(102) performs a compile process by collecting data for the generation of an application package. The application managing unit packages complied data including an encoded execution file of the application package.
