The system has a web server (3) to send and receive information to and from a centralized technical management server (4) in a building (6). A web client (1) receives data and issues commands to the web server through a communications network i.e. Internet (2), where the web server hosts a software service in response to a request from the web client for visualization of data representing power consumption of an electrical equipment (5). The web server transmits the commands received from the web client to the centralized technical management server for controlling the equipment. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for analyzing power consumption of electrical equipment (2) a method for controlling electrical equipment.
