摘要 <p>The device (1) has a calculating and control unit (15) to automatically control petroleum product, electrolyte, potassium hydroxide titrating solution and nitrogen supplying parts (7, 8, 9, 10), petroleum product, electrolyte and potassium hydroxide titrating solution injecting devices (11, 12, 13), a nitrogen bubbling device (6) and a purge device (22) of a measuring cell (2). The unit is connected to an electrode set (20) for measuring potential of content of the cell to determine equivalence points during titration and determine a total acidity number of petroleum products to be analyzed. The electrode set is provided with a silver/silver chloride combined electrode (24) filled with lithium chloride solution. The electrolyte contains a mixture of toluene and isopropanol containing minimum quantity of dematerialized water. The measuring cell is provided with an inert metal electrode (21). An independent claim is also included for a method for analytically measuring an acid value in a petroleum product by potentiometric titration with potassium hydroxide titrating solution.</p>
