<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner having high safety and a high bactericidal property. <P>SOLUTION: The air cleaner includes a duct 1 having a suction port 11 and a discharge port 12, and a sterilization section 2 disposed inside the duct 1. The sterilization section 2 is formed by including cuprous oxide. The duct 1 includes, in its inside, a reducer supply nozzle 3 for supplying the sterilization section 2 with a reducer. The sterilization section 2 is preferably formed with a cuprous oxide film on the surface of a copper material.
