<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torch burner that can efficiently heat a surface of a metallic pipe to melt the ice inside the pipe for a short time. <P>SOLUTION: The torch burner includes: mounting parts 5, 6 detachably mounted to a predetermined gas cylinder; and a nozzle 7 and a flame blocking plate 8 provided in the mounting parts 5, 6. The flame blocking plate 8 is disposed on one side of the nozzle 7 and along the nozzle 7, and whose tip is curved on the nozzle 7 side in a position separated from the mounting parts 5, 6 farther than a tip of the nozzle 7.
