[Problem] To provide a method for producing brown adipocytes using pluripotent stem cells, and a method for producing a cell aggregate which is an intermediate product thereof, as well as a pluripotent stem cell-derived cell aggregate and pluripotent stem cell-derived brown adipocytes produced by the methods, and a cell therapy using the pluripotent stem cell-derived brown adipocytes. [Solution] This method for producing brown adipocytes using pluripotent stem cells is characterized in that a cell aggregate is formed from the pluripotent stem cells by a method comprising a step (A), and the brown adipocytes are obtained from the cell aggregate by a method comprising a step (B). (A) A step for non-adhesively culturing pluripotent stem cells in a serum-free environment in the presence of a hematopoietic cytokine, and preparing a cell aggregate. (B) A step for adhesively culturing the cell aggregate in the presence of a hematopoietic cytokine, to prepare brown adipocytes.
