<p>The invention relates to a method for extracting contaminant-free hydrocarbons at a temperature suitable for enabling the reuse or sale thereof. The method, which is applicable to fuel-oil tanks and to floating-ceiling oil tanks, includes risk-prevention measures and the installation of the equipment required for the following operations: localised heating of the hydrocarbons in the suction area in order to reduce the viscosity thereof, making the hydrocarbons easier to extract and enabling subsequent decanting; heating and recirculating the air or nitrogen in sectors of the tank in order to cause the surface mass of the hydrocarbons to flow towards the suction area and to segregate the contaminants at the bottom; and pumping the hot, contaminant-free hydrocarbons into transport containers, storage tanks or processing units.</p> |
