<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an X-ray detector without requesting a remodeling of designs of existing data module and scanning module. <P>SOLUTION: The flat panel imager for X-ray detectors includes a data module and a scanning module. A first part of the data module is disposed at one side of the flat panel imager, and a second part of the data module is disposed at an opposite side of the first part of the data module.
