<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overvoltage protection circuit capable of highly accurately preventing overvoltage of a power supply voltage. <P>SOLUTION: The overvoltage protection circuit according to the present invention includes: an overvoltage detecting section 3 for detecting a level of a power supply voltage VDD to be supplied to a power line VL and outputting a detection result; and an interruption generating section 4 for generating an interruption signal INTP for changing an operation mode of a microcomputer 5 to be driven by the power supply voltage VDD based on the detection result output from the overvoltage detecting section 3.
