<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide blocks for assembling furniture in which each spacing of faces constitutes part of dimensions of furniture as the blocks for assembling the furniture, a combination of at least two blocks constitutes one kind of furniture, using three pairs of faces can secure one dimension of a chair, table, shelf, or partition, and efficient assembly of furniture can be achieved. <P>SOLUTION: The block 5 for assembling the furniture is a hollow rectangular parallelepiped body 1 with a different length for each side of synthetic resin, in which an A surface (1a) with a minimum facing spacing among three pairs of facing surfaces has a facing spacing of the half length of a side of a square as appropriate as a seat surface of the chair, a B surface (1b) with a larger facing spacing has a spacing through which an A4 file can be inserted in/out, and a C surface (1c) with a maximum facing spacing has a facing spacing of the length of the side of the square as appropriate as the seat surface of the chair.
