<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a transmission direction of torque transmitted between a driving source and driving wheels through an automatic transmission. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor 6 for detecting rotation of a helical gear 4 is arranged on a side face of the helical gear 4, and a sensor surface of the sensor 6 faces a side face 4a1 of teeth 4a of the helical gear 4 from a thrust direction (axial direction) of the helical gear 4. A controller 7 obtains a distance (gap) between the helical gear 4 and the sensor 6, which changes in the thrust direction (axial direction) according to a transmission direction of torque, based on amplitude of a pulse signal output from the sensor 6, and the controller detects magnitude and direction of the torque based on the obtained distance (gap). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
