An imaging device (1) is provided with an illumination unit (10) for emitting light A onto a moving target (90), an optical system (20) for producing an image of the target (90), a detector (31) having a light-receiving surface on which the optical system (20) forms an image of the target (90), and an analyzer (40) for analyzing the result of detection by the detector (31) and obtaining an image of the target (90). The detector (31) includes a plurality of light-receiving cells (d1-dN) arranged in the x-direction on the light-receiving surface. The detector is arranged so that the image moves in the y-direction on the light-receiving surface. The detector performs either light reception or light non-reception according to a pseudo-noise code sequence along the y-direction in each of the light-receiving cells, and outputs an electric signal corresponding to the amount of light received in each of the light-receiving cells. The analyzer (41) analyzes the electric signal outputted from the detector and obtains an image of the target. |
