<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plugged honeycomb structure capable of suppressing an increase in pressure loss and capable of being well enhanced in its durability. <P>SOLUTION: The plugged honeycomb structure 100 includes a honeycomb structure 4 having a plurality of columnar honeycomb segments 8 having porous partition walls 1 for forming a plurality of cells 2 so as to demarcate them, an outflow side plugging part 5b and an inflow side plugging part. The honeycomb segment 8, which is positioned in the direction of 45° with respect to one side of the rectangular cross section of the honeycomb segment 8 constituting the central part from the center O of gravity of the cross section in the cross section of the honeycomb structure 4, among the honeycomb segments 8 constituting the outer peripheral part of the honeycomb structure 4 is a reinforced segment 8x having a reinforcing part 6 for reinforcing a specific outflow cell 2b formed thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
