<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, as much as possible, the inconvenience of falling into the state where a game machine cannot be operated when it cannot be authenticated that the game machine is genuine on the basis of identification information by a management server. <P>SOLUTION: A main control part of a card unit transmits, to a host server, an authentication inquiry ATT on whether or not game machine chip information is registered in the host server.
