The present invention relates to a distributed object system based on replication and to a method for providing same. The method comprises the steps of: a server determining whether a client system or a predetermined entity joins or quits a predetermined interest group; replicating at least one of the real entities joining the interest group and existing in the server based on the results of the determination as a shadow entity in the client system, or removing a shadow entity in the form of which the real entity is already replicated in the client system; and synchronizing the shadow entity existing in the client system with the real entity corresponding to the shadow entity.
