The present invention provides: a thermoplastic polyester resin composition which comprises 100 parts by mass of a polyester resin comprising 100-50 parts by mass of (A) a polybutylene terephthalate resin and 0-50 parts by mass of (B) a polyethylene terephthalate resin, 0.05-5 parts by mass of (C) a polyglycerin fatty acid ester in which a fatty acid is bound to all of hydroxy groups in polyglycerin, 0.05-5 parts by mass of (D) an aliphatic or alicyclic polycarbodiimide compound and 0-20 part by mass of (E) an inorganic filler having an average particle diameter of 3.0 µm or less, and which enables the production of a resin molding having excellent direct metal deposition properties, mold releasability, surface smoothness, heat resistance, fogging properties and anti-bleed-out properties; and a light-reflecting article having a highly luminous feeling, which is produced by the direct metal deposition onto the resin molding by a direct method.
