Disclosed is a liquid-crystal display device (100) that performs display in a three-dimensional display mode. The liquid-crystal display device (100) includes a plurality of pixels, and left-eye image data and right-eye image data are alternately written to each of the pixels for each two consecutive vertical scanning periods. Each of the pixels shows the same polarity over the two vertical scanning periods during which the left-eye image data is written, and shows the same polarity over the two vertical scanning periods during which the right-eye image data is written. With this, the liquid-crystal display device (100) can perform three-dimensional display during which unevenness in display is suppressed.
