<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat shielding structure of an exhaust route with an inexpensive structure while suppressing deformation or damage of an exhaust pipe between a cylinder head and a catalyst support housing portion due to thermal stress. <P>SOLUTION: A heat shielding plate 8 is provided along the exhaust pipe 6 between an attaching flange 10 attached to the cylinder head and a catalyst converter 4. The heat shielding plate 8 is unevenly-distributed in a side where peripheral equipment 14 sensitive to heat is arranged. The upstream side end part 8a of the heat shielding plate 8 is fastened to the attaching flange 10 with bolts 12. The downstream side end part 8b is fastened to a bracket 16 provided in the side surface of a catalyst support housing part 4a of the catalyst converter 4. A notch 8d is formed to expose the welding part 6a of the exhaust pipe 6 in the downstream side of the intermediate region 8a of the heat shielding plate 8, that is, in the vehicle front side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
