<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller that improves stability of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The controller for controlling front-wheel drive force and rear-wheel drive force of a vehicle includes: a first control means for controlling main drive wheel drive force and sub drive wheel drive force, the main drive wheel drive force being one of the front-wheel drive force and the rear-wheel drive force, and the sub drive wheel drive force being the other of them; and a second control means for requesting sub drive wheel limit drive force for limiting the sub drive wheel drive force to the first control means when the traveling state of the vehicle is unstable. The second control means includes a calculation part for calculating the sub drive wheel limit drive force on the basis of an instability parameter of the vehicle.
