PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce fluctuations of electromotive force between a reference electrode and a measuring electrode in a gas sensor.
SOLUTION: A reference electrode 42 and a measuring electrode 44 are formed directly on the same first solid electrolyte layer 4. For this reason, heat from a heater 72 is conducted in a third substrate layer 3 and the first solid electrolyte layer 4 in this order, and heat is conducted from the heater 72 to the reference electrode 42 and the measuring electrode 44 via the same first solid electrolyte layer 4. Further, as the reference electrode 42 is covered by a reference gas introduction layer 48, which is a porous body, heat conduction from the heater 72 to the reference electrode 42 via the reference gas introduction layer 48 is less than heat conduction from the heater 72 to the measuring electrode 42 via the first solid electrolyte layer 4, on which the reference electrode 42 is directly formed. For these reasons, a temperature difference due to heat from the heater 72 is made difficult to occur between the reference electrode 42 and the measuring electrode 44, and fluctuations of electromotive force V2 occurring between the reference electrode 42 and the measuring electrode 44 can be reduced.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
