<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chabazite-type zeolite having a high Al content as a substrate of a catalyst support or an adsorbent from the standpoint of the number of ion exchange sites or the solid acid amount, and having high durability and heat resistance; a method for producing the same; and a new chabazite-type zeolite having copper supported. <P>SOLUTION: In the chabazite-type zeolite, the mole ratio of SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>/Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>is less than 15 and the average particle diameter is ≥1.0 and ≤8.0 μm. The chabazite-type zeolite has excellent durability and heat resistance.
