<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter that can be manufactured by low-temperature curing and has high reliability and to provide a liquid crystal display device excellent in display characteristics by using the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter is formed by using: a colored pattern formed of a colored composition comprising an alkali-soluble resin, a polymerizable compound and a colorant optionally containing a dye, and a compound expressed by formula (1) or formula (2); and a protective film formed of a radiation-sensitive resin composition comprising an epoxy material, a polymerizable compound, a polymerization initiator, and a compound expressed by formula (1) or formula (2).
