<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a stereoscopic video signal which enables acquisition of stereoscopic video further enhancing presence in a video signal generation device applied to a stereoscopic video reproduction device such as a digital television broadcast reception device. <P>SOLUTION: A depth information change unit of a video signal generation device for generating a video signal for stereoscopic video based on depth information changes the depth information based on audio information.
