LUBRICANT BASE OIL AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME, AND LUBRICANT COMPOSITION THAT CONTAINS THE BASE OIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a lubricant base oil having high viscosity index, excellent low-temperature fluidity, low vaporizability, and low traction coefficient; a method of producing the lubricant base oil; and a lubricant composition.

SOLUTION: The hydrocarbon-based lubricant base oil has viscosity index of 130 or more, paraffin portion (%CP) by ring analysis of 90% or more, and the traction coefficient at 20°C of 0.04 or lower. The method of producing the lubricant base oil, and the lubricant composition that contains the lubricant base oil are also provided.
