MOLTEN GLASS SUPPLYING NOZZLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten glass supplying nozzle effectively preventing a wetting phenomenon of molten glass and preventing discoloring to the glass and having high strength of the nozzle itself.

SOLUTION: In the molten glass supplying nozzle including a Pt or Pt-alloy nozzle body 2 having an outflow port 6 for supplying molten glass on its tip, an outer cylinder 4 made of Au or Au alloy is attached to the tip of the nozzle body 2. It is preferable that the thickness of the outer cylinder 4 is 0.5 to 7.0 mm and the thickness of the nozzle body 2 is 0.5 to 5.0 mm.
