<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high pressure pump simplified in constitutions of a discharge valve and a relief valve and improved in discharge efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In a valve body 92 arranged at a discharge relief valve 90, a relief valve outlet 953 is formed at an end face 921 on the center axis of a the valve body 92, and discharge valve inlets 931, 932 are formed at the end face so as to be symmetric with the center axis. Alternatively, a discharge valve outlet 933 is formed at an end face 922 on the center axis, and relief valve inlets 951, 952 are formed at the end face so as to be symmetric with the center axis. The discharge valve outlet 933 and the discharge valve inlets 931, 932 are made to communicate with each other, and a flow of fuel to a fuel discharge port 99 from a pressurization chamber 14 is regulated by a discharge valve member 94 which can close the discharge valve outlet 933. Furthermore, the relief valve outlet 953 and the relief valve inlets 951, 952 are made to communicate with each other, and a flow of the fuel to the pressurization chamber 14 from the fuel discharge port 99 is regulated by a relief valve member 96 which can close the relief valve outlet 953. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
