<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can more accurately evaluate the thermal plastitities of coal and a caking additive while using a simple method, thereby to set a new coal blending standard, and thereby to provide a method for producing a high-strength coke. <P>SOLUTION: The method for evaluating the thermal plasticities of coal and a caking additive, comprises: filling coal or a caking additive into a container to create a sample 1; disposing a material 2 having a through-hole through the top and bottom surfaces thereof on the sample 1; heating the sample 1 at a predetermined heating rate while the sample 1 and the material 2 having the through-hole through the top and bottom surfaces thereof maintain constant volumes or a constant load is applied; measuring the penetration distance of the melted sample which has penetrated into the through-hole; and evaluating the thermal plasticity of the sample using the measured value, and is used. Alternatively, the sample 1 is heated at a predetermined heating rate while the sample 1 and the material 2 having the through-hole through the top and bottom surfaces thereof maintain constant volumes, the pressure of the sample transmitted through the material 2 having the through-hole through the top and bottom surfaces thereof is measured, and the thermal plasticity of the sample is evaluated using the measured value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
