<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desalting device having a bottom of a column constituting a protruding part protruding downward and in which channeling is prevented and no dead space is formed in the column. <P>SOLUTION: The desalting device includes the column packed with an ion-exchange resin, wherein the bottom of the column constitutes a protruding part 1b having a shape protruding downward and a plurality of strainers 3 for water collection disposed in the protruding part 1b.
