<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component that is safe and constantly orally ingestible for accelerating antioxidative biophylactic performance against oxidative stress. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an activating agent for an Nrf2 transcription factor comprising an extract from a fruit body of Lycium chinese as an effective ingredient. Oral ingestion of the activating agent constantly accelerates expression of antioxidative enzymes, detoxifying enzymes, metabolic enzymes, foreign matter-excreting transporters and stress-responsive proteins encoded by an Nrf2 target gene, and therefore a peroral biophylactic agent comprising the activating agent is also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
