<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head suspension capable of properly holding stiffness balance of a suspension body, and keeping good vibration characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A head suspension 31 comprises a base plate 33, a load beam 35 provided with a flexure 39, and an installing portion to which a piezoelectric element 13 is fixed. The installing portion includes an opening portion 43 installing the piezoelectric element 13 by an embedding method. The piezoelectric element 13 is fixed to the installing portion by an adhesive of a clearance portion provided between the piezoelectric element 13 and an opening portion 43. The adhesive is added with a thixotropic property, and is in a sol state when applied to the clearance portion and gelled in the clearance portion after the application to lose flowability. The adhesive in the sol state under a pressurized state is applied into the clearance portion formed between the piezoelectric element 13 and the opening portion 43 while controlling application amount, and prevented from flowing out and diffusing by gelling after the application. Therefore, an electrode plate of the piezoelectric element 13, the base plate, and the surface of the adhesive in the clearance portion are made to continue. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
