<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process cartridge that can be smoothly attached to a body of an apparatus, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with such a process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: A drum frame 21 holds a photosensitive drum 5, and a connection member 47 to which a driving force is input to rotate the photosensitive drum 5. In the drum frame 21, a substantially cylindrical protection part 30 is formed, which is projecting in the direction of the axis of rotation of the photosensitive drum 5. The connection member 47 is disposed (accommodated) inside the protection part 30. The rear section 31 of the protection part 30 is smaller in amount of projection than the front section 32 thereof. This prevents the rear section 31 of the protection part 30 from being caught by any member disposed in the casing 2 of the body when the process cartridge 3 is attached to the casing 2 of the body.
