<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery electrode which can be suitably used for various batteries and can make a battery extremely high in safety while high in capacity and high in output, especially when the battery electrode is used as a separator of a lithium ion secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: A battery electrode includes an electrode and a porous layer comprising aromatic polyamide. The porous layer is formed at least on one side of the electrode and cannot be practically peeled from the electrode at a peeling strength of 10 N/cm. The battery electrode is suitably obtained by humidifying the electrode, on the surface of which a solution of aromatic polyamide dissolved in an organic polar solvent is coated, in an atmosphere of a temperature of 10-50°C and of a humidity of 75-95% RH, then removing the solvent in a water bath and drying the electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
