RUST PREVENTING PIGMENT COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphate type rust preventing composition not containing a harmful heavy metal and a zinc component, excellent in rust preventive performance and not having bad influence on storage stability when formulated into an aqueous coating material.

SOLUTION: The rust preventing pigment composition is obtained by the reaction by mixing (a) aluminum dihydrogen tripolyphosphate and (b) calcium hydroxide in water. The feed ratio of those compounds is 1:0.05 or 1:5 on a weight basis.
