Disclosed is a method for testing video delay in a video conference, including: obtaining a data message, with the data message including a first message sent from a source terminal to a multi-control unit (MCU) and a second message sent from the MCU to a remote terminal; obtaining the same image from a video bitstream message of the first message and from a video bitstream message of the second message; parsing and obtaining two pieces of different time information from the same image of the two messages; and obtaining a video delay by calculation based on the time difference between the two pieces of different time information. Also correspondingly disclosed is a computer. In the present invention, the video delay of the MCU is obtained directly according to the message time difference between the input MCU video image and the MCU output video image, therefore the operation flow of the testing is simple, and the data accuracy and testing efficiency are improved.
