PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase critical power of a fuel assembly.
SOLUTION: A fuel assembly that is loaded into a reactor core of a boiling-water reactor comprises a spacer, multiple fuel rods and a water rod 41 with an intermediary end plug. The spacer partitions the inside of a channel box into multiple square-lattice rod passing areas. Each fuel rod is formed by putting a nuclear fuel material into a cladding tube, and passes through each rod passing area. The water rod 41 with the intermediary end plug comprises a first tube part 51, a second tube part 52 and the intermediary end plug 6. With respect to the first tube part 51, a side face is provided with: an inlet 4 into which a coolant flows; and an outlet 5 which is positioned higher than the inlet 4 and from which the coolant flows out. The second tube part 52 is arranged coaxially with the first tube part. The intermediary end plug 6 connects the first tube part 51 and the second tube part 52, and interferes with the flow of the coolant in the first tube part 51. The water rod 41 with the intermediary end plug also passes through the rod passing area.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
