<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct drive motor which suppresses intrusion of liquids such as water and dusts into inside thereof without the need for additional installation of a dust seal, that is, without the need for an additional component cost. <P>SOLUTION: A direct drive motor comprises: a stationary part which is fixed to any installation position; a rotation part which rotates relative to the stationary part; and a circular seal provided between the stationary part and the rotation part. A half-cross section of the seal along its axial direction is roughly U-shaped opening to the axial direction, and all the seals used open downwardly in the gravity direction and toward the outside air side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
