PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunogenic composition consisting of chimeric molecule having a structurally stable adhesin from E. coli fused with a bacterial toxin A subunit, such as a cholera toxin A subunit or heat-labile E. coli toxin A subunit; and an adhesin-enterotoxin chimera noncovalently associated with a toxin B subunit on the same sort as the A subunit or on a different sort therefrom.

SOLUTION: The adhesin/toxin fusion composition to elicit an immune response is used.
