<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, in a conventional camera for outputting polarization image data, ordinary color image data in which the same subject is captured cannot be output together with the polarization image data. <P>SOLUTION: In order to solve the problem, an imaging element comprises: photoelectric conversion elements that photoelectrically convert incident light into electric signals and are two-dimensionally arranged; color filters provided to at least part of the photoelectric conversion elements in one-to-one correspondence, respectively; and photonic crystal polarizers provided to at least part of the photoelectric conversion elements in one-to-one correspondence, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
