<p>Disclosed is a method for generating power using a solar battery comprising the following step (a) and step (b). In step (a), the solar battery, which is equipped with a condensing lens and a solar battery element, is prepared. The solar battery element is equipped with an n-type GaAs layer, a p-type GaAs layer, a tunnel effect layer, an n-type InGaP layer, a p-type InGaP layer, a p-type window layer, an n-side electrode, and a p-side electrode. The Z direction is the normal direction of the p-type GaAs layer. The X direction is the direction orthogonal to the Z direction. The n-type GaAs layer is divided into a GaAs central section, a first GaAs peripheral section, and a second GaAs peripheral section. The n-type InGaP layer is divided into an InGaP central section, a first InGaP peripheral section, and a second InGaP peripheral section. The thickness and width of the layers satisfy a prescribed set (I) of inequalities. In step (b), a potential difference is generated between the n-side electrode and p-side electrode, by irradiating a region (S) included in the surface of the p-type window layer with light, through the condensing lens, so as to satisfy a prescribed inequality (II).</p> |
