<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a fuel cell separator which can maintain high conductivity even under the high temperature and acidic atmosphere in a fuel cell and exhibits excellent workability by suitably coating the surface of a base material with a dense conductive layer thereby reducing the exposed area of the base material (increase the coating rate of the conductive layer), and adhering the base material and the conductive layer formed on the surface thereof firmly. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a fuel cell separator relating to the present invention includes a graphite layer formation step for forming a graphite layer on the surface of a metal base material, a crimp step for crimping the formed graphite layer onto the metal base material, and a heat treatment step for heat treating the metal base material onto which the graphite layer is crimped. In the graphite layer formation step, the graphite powder used for forming the graphite layer is any one of flaky graphite powder, scale-like graphite powder, expansion graphite powder, and pyrolytic graphite powder, or graphite powder principally composed of them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
