摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode catalyst layer for fuel cell in which sufficient proton conductivity and gas diffusion properties are ensured, reaction active points are increased and the output performance is enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode catalyst layer for fuel cell comprises a catalyst aggregate consisting of catalyst particles, a polymer electrolyte and first carbon particles not carrying the catalyst particles, and second carbon particles carrying the catalyst particles. The BET specific surface area of the first carbon particles is smaller than that of the second carbon particles.
