<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To capture a 3D still image whose noise component is suppressed from a 3D moving image. <P>SOLUTION: A video camera 1 includes: a moving image reproducing section 17 decoding compression data obtained by compressing the 3D moving image; a frame selecting section 21 which automatically selects two or more frame images for generating frame images of a right eye viewpoint and a left eye viewpoint from a string of the frame images which the moving image reproducing section 17 decodes and outputs as a right eye selection frame image and a left eye selection frame image based on an instruction from outside; a filter processing section 22 generating a right eye frame image and a left eye frame image by filtering the right eye selection frame image and the left eye selection frame image, which the frame selecting section selects; and a still image encoding section 19 generating the 3D still image data based on the right eye frame image and the left eye frame image.
