<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exterior structure which allows a new construction exterior structure such as a solar cell panel, a greening panel, and a new construction roof to be easily attached to a new construction or existing roof having a protrusion; and a method for constructing the same. <P>SOLUTION: An exterior structure allows a new construction exterior structure 6 to be installed with an extended frame 2, a rail member 3, and a fixing member 4 which are arranged on a roof 1 having a protrusion 1A. The extended frame 2 fixed to the roof 1 having the protrusion 1A has a base face part on which the rail member 3 is placed. The fixing member 4 is inserted in the gate-shaped space 20 of the extended frame 2 such that the base part of the fixing member 4 faces the lower face side of the base face part. The fixing member 4 has a locking part which is locked to a part to be locked of the rail member 3. The extended frame 2 is held in a holding state with the rail member 3 and the fixing member 4 and integrally mounted with fixation by attachment means 43 of the fixing member 4.
