<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a front short side guide to be opened/closed without a driving source whose torque is large, and prevent dropping of pieces of paper from a paper tray by opening the front short side guide. <P>SOLUTION: The paper discharge device includes: the paper tray 22 which receives and piles up laminated pieces of paper entered along a predetermined direction; a discharge rotor which discharges a piece of paper one by one from the laminated pieces of paper piled up in the paper tray 22; a rear short side guide 23 which aligns one side surface of the laminated pieces of paper piled up in the paper tray 22 along an entering direction; and the front short side guide 29 which aligns the other side surface of the laminated pieces of paper at an alignment position apart from and parallel to the rear short side guide 23, and which is, as necessary, rotated and moved from the alignment position to an opening position substantially even with the paper tray 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
