<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine an accurate position of a motor even when a movable part is moved to and locked at an end of a movable range and the motor is further rotated. <P>SOLUTION: Every time a pulse is input from an extraction circuit 3 after the start of a motor 2, a control section 4 adds one to a count value N to update the count value N, and computes a difference or sum of the updated count value N from or and a value of initial position data 5A. If a predetermined stop condition is satisfied, the control section 4 compares the calculated difference or sum with a value of restraint start position data 5B to determine whether or not the motor 2 is positioned in a restraint start position. If the control section 4 determines that the motor 2 is not positioned in the restraint start position, the control section 4 stops the motor 2 when current data input from an A/D converter 8 reaches a predetermined value or greater.
