<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and highly precisely make a valve sit on a seat member with the valve of a valve device closed. <P>SOLUTION: The valve 14 is rotated to a position facing a valve seat 16, with a shaft part 44 of the valve 14 inserted into a hole part 46 of a shaft 38 constituting an exhaust gas recirculating valve, an adjusting bolt 70 threaded through an assembling jig 60 installed in a gas flowing in port 20 is screwed and helically rotated to the valve 14, the valve 14 is moved toward the valve seat 16 side and made abut on the same.
