<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation device that improves cultivation efficiency and usability. <P>SOLUTION: The plant cultivation device 100 comprises: a rack unit 120 provided with cultivation shelves S on which cultivation units 110 housing plants are stored as culture medium units 111; and a transport device which moves along a horizontal movement path defined by a guide rail 149, and performs transport of the culture medium units 111 and loading/unloading of the culture medium units 111 to/from the cultivation shelves S. Multiple cultivation shelves S constitute a cultivation shelf column C in which the cultivation shelves are arranged at multiple levels in a vertical direction. The rack unit 120 comprises: a cultivation repository 121 composed of multiple cultivation shelf columns C; and an entrance/exit station 122 having a stock shelf column 170 in which the holding frames 115 of the cultivation units 110 housing no plant are stored as empty units.
