<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to accurately and visually recognize an image when switching from a non-display state to a display state. <P>SOLUTION: A head mount display 1 includes: display sections 15 and 16 for displaying an image; a switch section 6 for switching between a display state where the image is displayed on the display sections 15 and 16 and a non-display state where no image is displayed on the display sections 15 and 16; luminance adjusting sections 13 and 14 for adjusting the luminance of the image to be displayed on the display sections 15 and 16; and an external light detecting section 5 for detecting an external light quantity. When the switch section 6 switches from the non-display state to the display state, the luminance adjusting sections 13 and 14 adjust a luminance variation A per time for increasing the luminance of the image from a luminance of the display sections 15 and 16 in the non-display state to the luminance of the image to be displayed on the display sections 15 and 16 in the display state, according to the external light quantity L detected by the external light detecting section 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
